QUEBEC Summer Festival
From July 6th to 16th a mesmerizing Quebec Summer Festival is taking place in the beautiful Quebec City. In addition this year it celebrates its 50th anniversary which coincides with the Canada 150th birthday. For all the music lovers Quebec Summer Festival is the best event near them.
Quebec Festival is Canada’s largest outdoor music event that takes place for 11 days. Furthermore this event will feature performances of hip hop shows to rock and pop megastars. It will feature about 100 performances at 10 outdoor and indoor venues.
Moreover some of the highlights include performances from WHO the Band, Gorillaz cartoon band and special performance from pop star Nick Jonas.
Outdoor Programming Highlights
The Bell Stage is the main venue of festival. Furthermore this year Isabelle Boulay will open the event by celebrating her 25 years of career and 45th birthday on the event concert stage.
Moreover on the 7th of July the event will open with the performance of ” prince of hip-hop” and Granny Award Winner Kendrick Lamar. On the 8th July the pop rock Diva Pink will host the evening with her performance. Furthermore the first week will wrap up with Nick Jonas and Back Street Boys performance.
Kelsea Bellerini and Lady Antebellum will set a country pop night on July 10th. Opening for them is one of Quebec Singer Gabrielle Shonk. Consequently on 11th July French Canadian artist Lisa LeBlanc and Les Cowboys will give their performance on folk inspired notes.
Furthermore an Australian Dj and Record Producer Flume will give you an atmosphere of electro music. Rock Giant The Who band will be on the stage on 13th of July. Towards the end of weekend on 14th of July Metallica will bring classic heavy metal to the stage of Quebec festival. Gorillaz will give its special performance on 15th of July. Muse and Mondo Cozmo will attend the closing ceremony of the event with some English Rock music.
Indoor Programming Highlights
So the above picture shows the scenario of Imperial Bell concert hall. The Bell hall rolls out an exciting schedule of artists that will present any one of the musical category in front of audiences. Furthermore an Experimental music hip-hop will be presented by DJ Shadow. The next day Nigerian drummer Tony Allen will present a tribute to jazz master Art Blakey.
Furthermore on the night of 10th July Fred Fortin, Phantogram, Arkells and Mxpx will give a heavy rock punk. It will also have a blend of indie pop in Quebec Summer Festival. Moreover for you to celebrate after shows the District of Saint Joseph and L’Anti will be open all night for live music, dancing and to have a look at new talent.
